FAQ

Delete PDF pages questions, answered

How do I specify which pages to remove?

Type them as a comma-separated list. Single pages and ranges both work: "1, 3, 7-10" removes pages 1, 3, 7, 8, 9 and 10 and keeps the rest.

What happens to the page numbering?

The remaining pages are renumbered consecutively in the new file — so if you remove page 3 from a 10-page PDF, the new file is 9 pages numbered 1-9. The original PDF on your computer is untouched.

Can I delete every page?

No — we block that because the output would be an empty PDF, which most viewers refuse to open. If you want a blank PDF, just don't use this tool. If you want everything except a few pages, use the Split PDF tool to extract the ones you want instead.

Does the trimmed PDF keep links, bookmarks and form fields?

Internal links and form fields tied to the kept pages travel with them. Bookmarks (the outline tree) are rebuilt from scratch — if cross-document bookmark continuity matters, a desktop tool will do a better job.

What if I have a password-protected PDF?

We try to load encrypted PDFs in ignore-encryption mode. That works for some "owner-password" files but not for genuine password-locked ones. Remove the password first if it fails.
