FAQ

Reorder PDF pages questions, answered

How does the drag-and-drop work?

Grab any page thumbnail and drop it on top of another page tile. The dragged page lands in that slot and everything else shuffles to make room. Each tile shows its current position (top-left badge) and its original page number (bottom-right).

Can I undo a reorder?

Yes. Hit "Revert to original" any time before you download — it puts everything back in the source PDF's order. Or click "Reverse" to flip the entire document end-to-start (handy for some scanned multi-page documents).

How many pages can I handle at once?

Thumbnails are rendered at low resolution (around 60 KB each) so memory isn't the constraint — DOM performance is. 100 pages is fine, 500 pages will scroll-lag on a typical laptop. For really large PDFs, split first, reorder the sections, then merge.

Does the output keep links, bookmarks and form fields?

Internal links and form fields tied to the kept pages travel with them. Bookmarks (the outline tree) are rebuilt from scratch — desktop tools like Acrobat do a better job if cross-document bookmark continuity matters.

My thumbnails look pixelated. Why?

They're rendered at 0.35× scale so we can fit lots on screen and keep the page fast. The thumbnails are previews only — the output PDF uses the original page content at full resolution.
