All SEO tools
Pick what you need
All seven tools are live. Two run on Google Suggest (no daily cap). Four run on live Google SERP data via Serper.dev — the Ranking Diagnostic gets 5 runs per visitor per day; SERP Checker, Keyword Difficulty and the Index Checker share a 20-query-per-visitor daily cap — so the 2,500 free credits last. The Broken Link Checker just crawls the page you give it, no cap.

How we keep this free
Real Google data, free runway
Google Suggest powers keyword research (no documented cap). Serper.dev returns real Google SERP data for SERP Checker, Keyword Difficulty, the Index Checker and the Ranking Diagnostic — we get 2,500 free credits across all visitors. When those run out, those tools pause; no charges, no surprises.
Daily caps where needed
Google-Suggest tools and the Broken Link Checker have no cap. The Serper-backed query tools use a 20-query-per-IP daily cap (resets midnight UTC); the Ranking Diagnostic, which spends far more per run, gets 5 runs per IP per day. A 24-hour cache means repeat queries are free for everyone and the free credits last longer.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the existing /tools section?
The Tools section helps you *create* SEO assets for your own site — schema, robots.txt, title and meta tags, content briefs, SERP previews. The SEO section helps you *research* the market — find what people search for, see who ranks, judge how hard a keyword is. Different jobs, both free.
Are these tools really free, with no signup?
Yes. No account, no email harvesting, no daily cap on the Google-Suggest tools (People Also Ask Finder, Keyword Suggestion Tool) or the Broken Link Checker. The four tools that call a paid SERP API — SERP Checker, Keyword Difficulty Estimator, Bulk Index Checker and the Ranking Diagnostic — have a transparent per-IP daily cap, shown on each tool.
Where does the data come from?
Mostly Google. The Keyword Research tools (People Also Ask Finder, Keyword Suggestion Tool) use Google Suggest — the autocomplete data Google fills its search box with, free and with no documented cap. SERP Checker, Keyword Difficulty Estimator, Bulk Index Checker and the Ranking Diagnostic use Serper.dev, a third-party API that returns live Google SERP data; the Ranking Diagnostic also reads Core Web Vitals from Google PageSpeed Insights and fetches each ranking page directly. The Broken Link Checker simply crawls the page you give it. We previously planned to use Bing and then Brave, but Bing's API retired in August 2025 and Brave killed its free tier in February 2026.
Why is there a daily cap on some of the tools?
Serper.dev gives us 2,500 free one-off credits across all visitors, so the four tools that spend them are capped per IP to make the runway last. SERP Checker, Keyword Difficulty Estimator and Bulk Index Checker share a 20-query-per-IP daily cap. The Ranking Diagnostic has its own, lower cap of 5 runs per IP per day, because a single run audits 11 pages and spends far more than one credit. Repeat queries within 24 hours hit our cache and do not count against either cap. The Google-Suggest tools and the Broken Link Checker have no cap.
What happens when the 2,500 Serper credits run out?
The four Serper-backed tools (SERP Checker, Keyword Difficulty Estimator, Bulk Index Checker and the Ranking Diagnostic) fall back to a friendly "being set up" message — they pause rather than charging anyone. We do not auto-top-up. The two Google-Suggest tools and the Broken Link Checker are unaffected and continue to work as normal.
Can I use these tools for client work?
Yes. Use them for any commercial or non-commercial purpose. We do not log keywords against an identity — the queries pass through our server only to reach Google. Attribution is appreciated but not required.
Will you add more SEO research tools?
Yes. The latest additions are the Ranking Diagnostic and the Broken Link Checker. Next on the list are competitor keyword overlap and on-page content-gap tools. New tools get a NEW badge for 60 days.
