FAQ

Rotate PDF questions, answered

How do I rotate just specific pages?

Choose "Page range" under "Which pages?", then type a comma-separated list like "1-3, 7, 10-12". Everything else stays as-is.

What's the difference between 90°, 180° and 270°?

90° rotates clockwise (right edge becomes top). 180° flips upside-down. 270° rotates counter-clockwise (left edge becomes top, equivalent to "90° anti-clockwise" if you find that easier to reason about).

My page is already rotated 90° — what happens if I rotate again?

The rotations stack. A page that's already 90° plus another 90° here becomes 180°. If the PDF is showing wrong because of an existing rotation flag, pick the angle that brings it back to upright, not 0°.

Will the file size change?

No, not meaningfully. Rotation in pdf-lib is a metadata flag — the page content stays the same bytes, so the output is roughly the same size as the input.

Why are odd/even page options here?

Scanners often produce PDFs where every other page is upside-down (because the scanner alternates page direction). "Odd pages" or "Even pages" lets you fix that in one click instead of typing a 50-page range.
