Your file never leaves your computer

This tool runs entirely in your browser. There is no upload endpoint on this page — the PDF library does all of the work locally on your device, the result file is generated in memory, and the download starts from your own machine. Open your browser's network panel and verify: nothing is sent.

FAQ

Merge PDF questions, answered

Is there a file-size or page limit?

No hard cap from us. The practical limit is your device's memory — a modern laptop comfortably merges hundreds of pages and tens of MB. If you try to combine a dozen 100MB scans on a phone, your browser may struggle.

Can I reorder the PDFs before merging?

Yes. Once you have added at least two files, you'll see a numbered order panel with up/down buttons to put them in the order you want.

Do password-protected PDFs work?

In most cases, no. We attempt to load encrypted PDFs in ignore-encryption mode, which works for some "owner-password" files but not for files that genuinely require a password to open. Remove the password first using your viewer.

Does the merged PDF keep bookmarks and links?

It keeps internal page numbering and most embedded links. Bookmarks (outlines) are kept on a best-effort basis — pdf-lib copies the page contents, but the bookmark tree is rebuilt from scratch. If bookmark continuity matters, use Acrobat's combine feature on the desktop.

Is there a watermark, signup or file limit?

None of the above. Drop files in, set the order, download the merged PDF.
